Megara jumped out of the couch and flung the door wide open and instinctively crashed into him in a hug as she held him tightly. "I'm so glad your alright" she murmured against his chest as she helps him to the table and hands him a cup of tea. "Tea relaxes people I thought you could use one.." she said softly the blanket draped across her shoulders as her hair was down and framed her face rather nicely as she took his hand.

Victor gave a weak smile as Meg helped him to the table.
"Thank you..." He said quietly before taking a seat. He tried to take a sip from the cup but had to use both hands to keep it steady. Once he had managed to drink a portion of the liquid, he let out a sigh.
"I can only thank the forces of fate that I made you stay here while I studied that book."

Megara nods softly as she helps him to couch and lays him down so he can rest know that the process of reading it probably took a lot out of him. "I am sure you are Victor was really worried though I was a bout to come get you had you not arrived back...when you did" she said softly sitting by the couch resting her head on her arms at his side.

Victor suddenly clutched at Meg's are with newfound strength, not hurting her.
"NO! No, you needed to stay here. If you had come....."
Victor laid on the couch in silence for a time, his eyes closed. He finally spoke.
"The part of the forest where I read from the book......it's all dead now. Everything, the animals that where their, the trees, the grass. Everything." He put a hand to his face, feeling horrible about it all.
"When I read from the book, it was like opening up a vortex for life energy. Everything was pulled in and transferred into the book. And as I read, the book but that energy in me but.......it was too much." He suddenly opened his eyes and looked at Meg.
"If you had been there, you would have died too." He reached out a hand and placed it against her face.

Megara's eyes widened as she stared into his eyes as she clutched at him burying her face into his chest. "I...I..." she started not really sure what to say at his proclamation and subsequent sentences. "You seem liked you would be horribly upset if I passed on Victor" she said softly leaning her face in his hand reveling into his touch as she touched his as well cupping a cheek into her hand.

Victor shut his eyes again at the feel of Meg's hand on his cheek.
"I've already lost too many people I love to death's cold grip." He said in barely a whisper.
"I couldn't stand loosing you, too."

Megara blushes her hair covering one of her eyes as she looks into his her face barley centimeters from his. "I would not be able to bear it if I lost you either Victor..." she said softly interlacing her free hand with his not sure what to do now. She was serious about the idea of losing him she would be very upset if that happened.

Victor shook his head slightly.
"Don't worry. That won't be happening anytime soon. While it cost a dear price, I did learn much from that book. Enough to help me find my father and....maybe to help you receive justice." Victor's eyes began to flutter slightly. He was close to loosing consciousness but held on for Meg.
"You know, with your hair like that, you're quite cute." He smiled softly up at her.

Megara blinked and blushed bright red as she lightly punched his shoulder. "Get some rest Victor I'll be here when you awaken..." she said softly her face inching closer before she kissed him gently before taking the blanket off of her and covered him with it. She then dragged a futon next to victor and slept next him feeling she need to be close just in case as she fell asleep.

Victor felt Meg's gentle lips on his and closed his eyes.
"You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd say that I was dreaming....." His figure went limp as his tired mind finally gave into his fatigue and he drifted off to sleep.

Megara's hand drifted to his and held his hand as they both fell asleep. Her dreams that normally terrified her never came and she slept peacefully for once in her life close to Victor. as hours roll by she awoke to fin herself snuggled against Victor somehow. She blushed furiously but made sure to appear as if she was still sleeping as to appear unknowing of how close they were.

Victor slept silently through the evening and night, his body adjusting to the new energy that the Book of the Dead had forced on him. His mind seemed to keep reliving the past as he slept, up to the point when he met Meg. When he woke up the next morning, he turned to see Meg close to him. He merely looked at her for a time before reaching out and softly pushing a strand of her brown hair out of her face.

Megara stirred softly her eyes fluttering open as her lilac eyes met her black ones. "Well good morning sunshine how did you sleep" she said with a smile snuggling closer her inner lazy bum not wanting to move. Mostly be cause it was warm and she adore warm things and well cuddle time with Victor with the opportunity to make him blush is always a good incentive no to move a muscle.

Victor smiled before putting an arm slowly around Meg.
"Good. I feel alive again." Victor gave a light chuckle at his joke.
"I seemed to be dreaming about the past, my childhood, when I got my powers.....and meeting you."

Megara blushed softly at his arm around her as she curled into his arms with a smile. "Oh dreaming about me eh? I am telling you I am too good looking for you to be dreaming hun" she said poking his nose sticking her tongue out at him. "I am glad you are feeling better tough Victor. I didn't wanna deal with you dead on your feet be a pain" she said chuckling at her own joke.
