Astrid was on the highest watchtower of the castle doing her guard duty, not that someone asked her to do it, but she preferred to keep an eye open on the land around the castle: you never know what could happen and she didn't want to be found unprepared during an attack!
She was in her dragon form due to the fact that her sight was stronger than in her human form, that was too weak for those things!

Megara noticed the overly large dragon watching the land. She of course enjoyed that they had a dragon they were interesting creatures. "Good evening my scaley friend anything interesting you see?" She asked softly enough to not bother the dragon's enhanced senses.

Jim peered down from his perch on the roof of the tower as Meg spoke to Astrid. He had been up on the tower with his cousin, not bothering to pretend to be doing anything. While Astrid might feel she belonged to the Land of the Shadows, Jim felt little to no connection to these people. He watched now in human form as Meg spoke with Astrid.
"Interesting? You're joking right? This place is boring as HELL!" Jim called out to the two of them. He quickly jumped down from his place on the roof and stood up.
"I don't even know why you bother guarding the place, Astrid. Nothing ever happens here."

Astrid moved her look from the land to a female figure, it was Megara. She nodded her head to greet and then turned in her human form so she could speak her language.
She was about to reply when Jim popped put from his perch and spoke. Why had he to be so... well so much Jim?!
She smirked and gave him a punch on the shoulder "Never complacent!" she said firmly "We can be attack at any moment!" Maybe that could sound like a paranoid, but she didn't care. She joined the army and was ready to do everything!
Astrid turned at Megara and smiled "No. At the moment I've seen nothing of particular." she said standing at attention while she spoke "Everything as usual."

"Well regardless of the circumstances I appreciate your constant vigilance and i'm sure Thrax does as well" she said with a soft smile.
"Why don't you come down and get some food wouldn't due to have a hungry stomach as a distraction" she said will a grin leaning agaunst a wall the shadows swirling around her ankles again

Astrid glanced at Megara and smiled "I'm sure he does!" she said firmly, after all she wasn't doing this for charity or something like that! She deserved all their respect and appreciation for the work she did!
She shock her head at the dinner proposal "I'm not hungry..." she said coming closer to her and taking the ax she left on the floor, she didn't like to be armles in her human form, she felt too much unprotected! "Thank you anyway.." she smiled at Megara and then turned to Jim, maybe he was hungry "Jim! Do you want something to eat?" she asked smiling at him, he was in a some how under her protection in that dark land.

Jim didn't flinch as his cousin punched in him the arm, although she did have a mean swing in human form. He just crossed his arms and listened to the exchange between Meg and Astrid. When the subject of food was breached, Jim thought on the offer for a moment.
"Depends...whats on the menu and who'll be there?" Jim wasn't exactly fond of the company in the Land of Shadows. In fact, he wouldn't even be there if it wasn't for the dragons.

"It's just me and your cousin wants to come its mostly meat its hard to come by vegetation that doesn't kill you outright around here" she said with a smirk remembering a time of when a subordinate of her's trampled through a big area of poison ivy and had to be sent to Mok when she had an allergic reaction.

Astrid laid an hand on her stomach as it growled when Megara mentioned meat, it wasn't really true that she wasn't hungry! She had eaten only that morning and not even a lot: only a boar she caught that day.
"I guess that a sort of pause wouldn't kill me!" Astrid chuckled and leaned herself on her ax.

Jim put his hand to his chin as he thought over the offer. He was a bit hungry and if it was just him, Astrid, and Meg, then maybe he could go through the whole meal without getting into yet another fight. It seemed that he was always getting into heated arguments and fist fights whenever he was around people from the Land of Shadows. Jim was trying to decide if his temper could handle any additional strains today when his stomach gave a small growl and decided for him.
"Sure, why not? It's not like I'm doing anything interesting anyways. Might as well get a bite to eat."

Astrid smiled, she was aware of the fact that Jim didn't really suit with the whole dark crew, but she enjoyed when he at least joined those little meetings! Even if she still thought that he needed to integrate himself with those boys since they were going to win the war!
"Cool!" she chuckled rubbing her hands at the idea of their little break "Shall we go?!"

The queen of the Shadow realm, Thrax's wife- Aurora headed down in a post haste. Not many knew her, but they knew of her- she wore a bright blue gown to Adorne her dark blue eyes, and locks of blonde hair! her eyes batted as she heard a few members. Her hands clasped together as she heard Them speak of food."So we be talking of food no?"she'd wonder. "Perhaps we can sneak past the gaurds for a-little R&R, and ya'll can help I?"she'd wonder."I Wish to go into town.''she'd note.

Natasha walk down past Aurora and over to Astrid as Natasha look at here. Natasha look at her niece and look at Jim her half brother. Natasha wouldn't tell him about that at all. "So Astrid how the watching going" asked Natasha as she handing Astrid a bag with some meat. She was very close to her niece and other member of their family but she still hated what her father did with that human.

She raised an eyebrow as the blonde spoke, what was she doing here? And what was she talking about? Going into town?! Sneak past the guards?!
"What?" she didn't know what to reply at her "I don't think it's a good idea!" she said when Natasha came in and walked towards her and Jim. Her aunt was a good dragon even if she could seem heartless!
"At the moment I've seen nothing of interesting!" she smiled at her.

Jim frowned and crossed his arms at the appearance of Aurora and Natasha.
"Suddenly I think I've lost my appetite." He said in a low tone as he glared at the two. He really could care less about what the "Queen" could want and he hated how judgmental his half-sister was towards him. True, she wouldn't let anyone hurt him if it came down to a fight but Natasha seemed to only want to look at him as a dragon. If he was human, forget it. The thing Jim couldn't state the most about his half-sister were the comments geared towards his mother.
"And I don't really feel like going into town with anyone but myself. It's hard to enjoy it when everyone looks at you with fear, if they're even brave enough to look up at all."
