Pocahontas had always been the brooding one in the family. Thinking for hours on end over decisions, plans, and other things was just her habit, even though it tended to drive the people around her crazy. But she always believed that thinking through things was better than charging into them head-on. She was feeling contemplative even now, as she sat by the river, her toes barely touching the water. A beaver dam was nearby, but the animals took no notice of her. They knew she wouldn't harm them as they worked. Heck, most of the animals saw Pocahontas that way. They knew she could be trusted. And she sometimes preferred their company over her people's. Things were just simpler out here in nature. But Pocahontas knew she couldn't think too strongly in that direction. She was one of the tribe leaders, after all. She had a responsibility to her people, and to her younger sister. She knew she couldn't let them go by the wayside, especially with the thread of Thrax on the horizon. She sighed, wrapping her arms around her knees. Sometimes she wished she wasn't so melancholy, but she doubted there was much people could do about it.

Kida wanting no responsibility what so ever had decided to go out and have fun for a change. Leaving her weapons at the house and taking off with out telling anyone, not even her sister who would chew her out later on about that. Making her way towards the mountains, she climbed the rocks, pulling herself up higher and higher. Not even realizing her big sister was in the era. Pulling herself up as she looked down the waterfall, a huge grin appeared on the teenager's face. "Oh yes." she said pushing herself up and ran half way into the forest. Something her and Poca use to do together. Now that Poca was worried about this war, she became so.. boring? Turning around Kida pushed her feet to their limit running faster and faster by the minute. Jumping off, she clapped her hands together and dove right in the water. The pressure of water hit against her chest, knocking some air out. Raising to the service for air, she just spotted her sister by the water "Poca?' she called out.

Pocahontas was brought out of her thoughts when there was a sudden splash in the water. She jumped to her feet, her mind already wondering if it was a harmless animal or something more dangerous. Turns out, it was neither. It was only her sister, who looked like she was trying to have some fun. Typical of her. Kida was always more light-hearted than Pocahontas, which was good for peaceful times, but not so amusing during a war. "Hello there, Kida," she said, stretching her legs out as the water washed over her feet. "Enjoying yourself?" It wasn't a sarcastic question, but jumping off of cliffs was definitely a teenager-ish thing to do. Pocahontas had done it plenty of times in the past, but not so much nowadays, which always irritated Kida.

Kida just smiled at her sister before rolling her eyes. Great she wasn't in the greatest mood at all and Kida was the one having to deal with it later on. "Oh what now?" the young teen groaned and gotten out of the water. Dripping wet she twisted her long white hair "What can't have a little fun now and then with out you being a bitch." she said and quickly covered her hand. 'Shit I called my sister a bitch.' she thought "Poca.. I didn't mean it."

Pocahontas narrowed her eyes when Kida responded with a snappy insult. She rolled her eyes and was just about to get up and walk away when Kida quickly apologized. She sighed. "Watch your language," was all that she responded with. "Don't make a bad habit out of it. God forbid you end up calling one of John Role's generals something nasty." She paused. "Granted, he can be boring sometimes, but just keep that in mind."

Still young and clearly naive. Kida clinched her hands together tightly and sighed in a angerly manner. John this, John that. It's always about that idiot soon to be king asking them to be in this war of his "Well, I don't know Poca are you?" she said, crossing her arms. Kida just wanted things to go back the way they use to be. How her and Poca never argue this much. Sure, Kida always started it with her language or saying the wrong thing. "Know, I'm sick of being one of his little puppets." she argued

Pocahontas sighed. "We're not puppets. We're helping him in this war," she argued. "You know we have to, because if his kingdom falls to Thrax's armies, our tribe won't stand a chance. We'll have a better chance of defeating him if we stand together than if we fight on our own." Pocahontas believed that forming alliances was the key to winning this war. After all, the more the merrier, and this definitely applied to the situation that they were stuck in. Why couldn't Kida see that?

"Ever thought about what I want? I didn't wanna sign up for this I'm just sixteen who wants to have fun. But I did it for you and you still treat me like I'm ten years old. Plus you never have any fun anymore." she argued back, her hot temper stubborn self didn't wanna stand for this. Far as Kida is considered she isn't on either team. Just a teen helping out her older sister cause she loves her, doesn't wanna end up seeing her dead. Kida crossed her arms and frowned

"Maybe if things were different, you could still be a child, but this isn't one of those times, Kida," Pocahontas said sternly. "We can't afford to goof off with an army on our door step, ready to wipe out anyone who stands in their way. I don't know about you, but frankly, I don't want to see anyone dead." Of course, that was harsh. Pocahontas knew that Kida loved the village. She was just frustrated that her sister thought she could laze about while there were so many things to do to ensure everyone's safety.

Kida just rolled her eyes. No goofing off, no flirting with the guards, no this, no that. "You don't think I wanna see all my friends or even you get killed!" she slightly shout. Kida would take her own life to save this village and all the people in it. It just never sank in her head that play time was over, she had to grow up but growing up sucks. "I'm just asking for a little us time. Your always busy or bossing me around with Mr. prince is in town." she sighed "Why do I have to train all the time. Why can't we just goof off for just a day."

Pocahontas looked up, then sighed as she ran a hand through her hair. One day off wasn't a totally unreasonable request. And people always said that a little relaxation here and there between working was better than taking no breaks at all. But Pocahontas always felt guilty about taking some time off because she felt like there was always something she had to do. "I just...feel guilty about relaxing during the middle of all this," she confessed. "I mean, while we're off doing...whatever, somebody could be getting killed or Thrax could be coming up with a new plan. I just...don't want to let everyone down."

"Poca that's why we have guards. Besides, you need to relax for one day you'll just drop dead cause of all your worrying. You worry about the village, you worry about me, you worry about... God everything." she sighed. It wouldn't hurt to just take a day off, dance around the camp fire, sing along with others. "You had to grow up since mom died. Don;t you think you deserve to be a kid. Goof off, have fun."

"That's because it's all my responsibility," Pocahontas replied. "If anything happened to the tribe, or to you, it'd be my fault. It's my job to look after you all." True, Kida was also a chief, but because she tended to jump off waterfalls and seek out adventures, most of the leading tended to fall on Pocahontas' shoulders. Not that she minded. She had been taking on more responsibility ever since their mom died, just like Kida said. But it had made her more serious than most of her peers, and she knew Kida didn't like that much.

"Oh my god. It's not like I'm going to end up doing something stupid to end up getting myself killed." Kida was reckless always doing things that was dangerous and coming back to a worried sister or in her case mom. "If anything happened to be it's because I was being reckless! I'm sixteen and I hate this!" she huffed. Yet, what she hated the most was them two fighting cause Kida started it. "I'm... Sorry sis.. I just, your always looking depress and I want to see you smile and have fun."

Pocahontas gave a wry chuckle, though there wasn't much humor in the sound. Kida may think that she wouldn't do something stupid that would end up with her getting killed, but that was exactly what Pocahontas was afraid of. Kida was still a child, in mind and body. Even though she could fight, she sometimes lacked the knowledge of when was a good time to fight and when was a good time to back away. And Pocahontas sometimes worried that if she turned her back for a second, Kida would end up in some kind of trouble. "I'm not depressed," she argued. "I'm just...concerned, about things." She wasn't sure if depressed was the right word to describe her. It wasn't like she was thinking about killing herself or anything. She just had a lot on her mind lately.
