While Pocahontas was fond of her mountain home, she always enjoyed going out to the ocean every once in a while. Every time she saw it, she was always reminded of why so many singers and poets wrote about it. The sea always seemed so vast and unfathomable, but also beautiful and inspiring. She could spend hours gazing at it. Then again, Pocahontas could spend hours doing anything. She had a remarkable amount of patience in her. A breeze blew, blowing her hair back as she breathed in the salty air. The sea always made Pocahontas feel at peace for some reason. Most nature tended to do that. She just found a lot of comfort among trees and rivers and oceans. It was where she felt she belonged most sometimes, even though she could never really explain why.

(( Do you mind if I join? )) Chel came down at the beach with her sword tied at her belt, she always brought it with her - at least when Mowgli wasn't with her! - and always was a good time to get practice with it! She loved to work with the sword on the beach, the sand that could make her fall every time, the water right near her and other stuffs that would be useful for her training! She looked around and seemed like there was nobody there, so she took her sword and started to hit a broken tree that was right in front of her.

((No problem. )) The beach was quiet for a moment, but Pocahontas looked up when she heard a whacking sound nearby, like someone was striking against something wooden. Curious, she got up and walked a bit, wondering what was making the sound. She soon spotted someone nearby, a girl to be exact, hitting a tree with her sword. Obviously, she was practicing. But Pocahontas recognized the girl was one of the members of her tribe, Chel. She didn't know her that well personally, just her face and name. And that she was always willing to help out in the battle against Thrax, which Pocahontas appreciated. She stood for a moment, just watching her.

Chel ran towards the tree and jumped with her sword up - that was a new technique that she was studying - but as soon as she reached the ground her feet slipped on the sand making her fall. Chel woke up slowly and touched her head "Ahi!" she yelled taking her sword and then hit again the tree from where she was sat "This has to be fixed..." she mumbled waking up and sticked teh sword in the ground.

It looked like Chel was having a bit of trouble with a move she was practicing. Pocahontas could see her frustration. Maybe she could lend a helping hand. "Hello," she said, giving a wave at Chel as she walked over to her. "Do you need some help?" Pocahontas was okay when it came to fighting with weapons, but she was a lot better when it came to magic.

Chel raised her look and saw that actually she wasn't alone on the beach. There was a girl - that probably had seen her miserable fall - standing there and waving her hand. Chel immediately recognized her, how could she not know who she was?! The chief daughter was easy to remember! And in a some how she respected and admired her and her sister: the way they lead the tribe and everything was in her eyes really good! She smiled at Pocahontas and replied at her greeting "Hello!" she smiled and then looked at the sword "Help is always accepted, but... do you know how to use a sword?" that would probably sound like a rude - or even a stupid - question, but Chel knew that actually Kida was the 'fighting' sister, instead Pocahontas was known as the 'quiet', the one who likes magic and stuffs. Maybe her sister taught her something.

"Mmm, not especially, but..." Pocahontas look around for a moment before spotting what she needed: a good solid rock. "I think I have a substitution." She breathed out deeply for a second before raising up her hands, her palms glowing. The rock quivered for a moment before popping out of the sand and floated over to her. It was about three quarters of Pocahontas' height, no doubt having been reduced in its natural sides because of the waves pounding on it year after year. But Pocahontas figured it could a nice substitute for a sword. "There we go. Easy enough for me to move, and strong enough to withstand the blow of a sword," she said, smiling at Chel.

Chel watched her moving towards a rock and raised an eyebrow, what was she going to do with it?! She knew that Pocahontas was used to magic, so maybe she wanted to turn it into a sword or maybe using it as a target or maybe as a different type of weapon. When the rock came out from the sand Chel instinctively retreated of a few steps, not that she wasn't sure about Pocahontas accomplishment, but that thing was surely a little heavy! She looked at the rock and then at Pocahontas "What am I suppose to do with it?" she asked picking up her sword "Do I have to use it as a target?" she asked pointing at the rock, she was always open to new types of practice and obviously she would try also this one! The only thing was to clear what exactly she had to do!

"Here, it's simple enough: just try to attack me as best you can and I can use the rock here to deflect your blows," Pocahontas explained. "We just have to make sure not to attack each other too aggressively, otherwise we're going to end up with a chopped off arm or something." That wouldn't be good, especially since she and Chel had to stay in top form if they wanted to fight.

"Sounds good to me!" Chel smiled and looked at her, it was like she was going to simulate a real fight! "Don't worry!" she laughed and winked at her "We'll come home with both our arms!" she laughed again, it wouldn't be easy to explain at Mowgli how exactly she cut away her arm! Chel looked at Pocahontas and tighten the grip on her sword posing in front of her "Ready?" she asked ready to 'attack' her.

"Well, that's a relief, I must say," Pocahontas said, laughing. Even magic couldn't reattach limbs. That was one injury that was too great for magic to to heal. Of course, there were warriors who had arms chopped off that had them replaced with a weapon, like an ax or a sword, but Pocahontas didn't want to think about that. It sounded a bit too brutal for her. "Ready," she responded, holding the boulder up as a shield, ready for whatever Chel threw at her.

Chel nodded and tighten more the grip on her sword, she breathed and with a jump she started to hit the rock in every direction. This time she was also watching where her feet were set, to not fall again or at least not too soon! Of course this time she was also trying to not hit also Pocahontas and doing these things together were a real good practice for her! It could be the simulation of a real war, where not everybody is an enemy!

Despite being young, Chel was pretty good with a sword. Pocahontas had to give her that much. She always calculated where her sword would land before she struck, although that might have been because she didn't want to hurt Pocahontas. But she was still pretty good. Pocahontas moved nimbly, shifting her position to deflect each blow. Every time Chel's sword struck the rock, sparks appeared for a brief second. "You're good," Pocahontas complemented.

Chel smiled at Pocahontas, actually nobody had seen her practice so nobody had actually told her a compliment about her skills! "Thank you!" she smiled and wiped the sweat from her forehead "You're good too!" she said pointing at her "I'd never thought it!" she chuckled taking again her sword to 'attack' again. Chel jumped again and hit the rock, continuing her practice.

While Chel did accept Pocahontas' compliment, she still kept her mind focused on her task, which Pocahontas thought a good thing. That meant that Chel wasn't easily distracted, and that could prove useful on the battlefield. She moved in to attack again and Pocahontas kept her rock up to deflect her blows. It was harder to move nimbly on sand, but Pocahontas enjoyed the challenge.
