It had only been two weeks since Victor had discovered the truth about his heritage, but it felt as if it had been an eternity. He had left what remained of his life behind and now he felt as if he had nothing, that he was powerless against the forces that had worked against him.
He sat on a cold rock and sighed as he looked into the water of a small creek that ran by. In it's cold reflection he saw the face of a young boy. His face. But he knew it was just another form, not really him. Slowly, he picked up a rock and threw it into the water. His reflection rippled and disappeared. Victor let out yet another sigh as he let his gaze wonder to the moon hanging overhead.

Odette still wasn't happy about being turn into a vampire as she push past the trees. Odette was stronger than before but it scared her that she would kill someone like her father. Odette stop when she hears water as she look from behind a tree. Odette look at the person sitting there as she watches him in the moonlight. Odette could see that something was hurting him.

Victor stared up at the moon for a time before getting to his feet and jumping down from his perch on the rock. One nice thing about being able to change form was that he was able to get around easier. No one grew suspicious of a young child, whereas a young man could drawn unwanted attention. He went over to the creek and put a hand in the water before taking a sip. Suddenly, his gaze fell on a dead flower next to the creek. Victor stared at it for a moment before going over to it.
"Might as well get some practice in." He whispered. He reached out a single finger and touched the flower. Immediately, it came back to life in full bloom. Victor gave a small smile as he looked at the flower.

Odette watch him make the flower grow and change his age. Odette move closer to him without making a sound. Odette move down into the grass as she hid herself. A wild wolf smelled the air as he walk down to the creek as the wolf saw a boy as he walk down closer to him. Odette ran over and push the wolf down as he got back up. The wolf ran to her Odette grab his neck as she broke it in half "Please forget me" said Odette as the wolf die. Odette didn't like to kill anything.

Victor was aware of the wolf's presence and didn't let it bother him. Since wolves were predators, they were bringers of death and would not harm him. But suddenly, he sensed a different presence, something not quite alive or dead but in between. He heard a loud crack resound through the air. He quickly turned towards the source and saw a young blonde woman holding the limp form of the wolf in her grasp. Victor took a quick step back, having not been around people for a while. But this woman was clearly not human. Victor rose to his full height and straightened his jacket before turning his gaze on her.
"If I might kindly ask, who are you? And why did you feel compelled to kill the wolf?"

Odette stand up as she turn around to him "That wolf was rabies as it walk closer to you it wasn't walking right" said Odette as she move her hair back "You could have been die in a coulpe of days and I'm Odette" said Odette as she walk past him to place her hands in the water slowly.

Victor watched the young woman go to the stream and place her hands in the water.
"Well then, Odette, I should thank you for your concern. But you shouldn't have to risk your own safety for that of a stranger." Especially one who can't die, Victor added sadly in his mind. Victor turned his gaze back to the woman, but kept a fair distance. He still didn't have his powers under control, so if he touched her, he might drain her life energy. Instead, he tried to be polite while still managing to get away from her.
"My name is Victor. Were you harmed at all?"

Odette look up at him “No I don’t think so” said Odette as she stand up “You don’t need to worried about my safety” said Odette with a smile “So Victor what are you doing here” asked Odette as she hold out her hand. Odette look up at the moon, that was so free.

Victor took another small step back as Odette rose to her feet.
"Just trying to clear my head a bit, that is all."
Victor didn't feel comfortable speaking about his past with this strange woman yet but at the same time it was nice to just speak to someone. He let his glance follow Odette's as she watched the moon.
"It is quite a lovely moon tonight. It doesn't make the darkness nearly as frightening when it graces the sky." Victor turned his gaze back down to the creek where Odette's reflection should have been. But there wasn't one. Victor stiffened slightly at this but decided not to mention it. If the woman wanted to talk about it, she would.
"It sounds as if you must be suffering your own troubles."

"Yes it is a lovely moon" said Odette as she look down "Yes I have for some time" said Odette as she hated having no reflection at all "Well sometime the darkness it better than the light" said Odette as she look up at him with red eyes.

Victor merely stared back at Odette as her eyes glowed red.
"Then am I right to assume that you are......new to your condition?"
He felt it would be rude to call her a vampire outright, especially if she had only just become one. He himself still didn't like being called a demigod, even if it was what he was.

"You don't have to stared" said Odette as she turn her back to him. She hated that she couldn't help what she was turn into. "And yes I'm a vampire and hate it" said Odette as she hit a tree and let a mark into the tree. Odette grab the tree as she try to calm herself down.

Victor dropped his gaze to the ground.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to insult you in any way."
He looked back up as Odette held onto the tree. He took a few steps forward and stood in front of her.
"And I am sorry that you are forced into being something you do not wish to be.....Although you might not believe me, I can understand what that is like." Victor casually strolled over to where the dead wolf lay. He knelt down and stroked its fur, sensing the energy that still lingered there. He felt the essence of the wolf slowly disappear into whatever lied beyond this life. As his hand stroked the wolf's fur again, the body suddenly fell apart to nothing but dust. His touch had helped the soul move on and the body to return to its origins.

Odette look at him "Do you have to drink blood and live with knowing that you killed you only father" asked Odette as she walk next to him as she watch the wolf turn into dust. Odette wonder what he was something dead like she was. Odette slowly touch her necklace that was giving to her by her father "So Victor why do you understand what it like" asked Odette.

Victor just stared at the ground where the wolf had been before slowly rising to his feet.
"No, I do not have to live with something of that nature." He answered Odette's first question but paused at her second. He had no desire to reveal his true nature to her.
"I understand because I too am well acquainted to death. More so then even I wanted to be. You could almost say that death and I go hand in hand together." As he spoke in his soft voice, Victor looked down at his hands. They might look like normal hands now, but if he let down his guard, his true form showed itself.
