After his meeting with Odette, Victor had continued his wanderings through the land. After a time, he had been drawn into another part of the land, a place where dark energy seemed to breath from. Death also seemed to permeate in this part of the forest and he had been drawn to it, curious as to find the source of so much darkness. He now stood in the woods in his adult form, listening to the voices of the deceased that remained behind. The souls sounded disturbed, but by what, Victor couldn't understand. He now walked through the dark shadows of the forest, not sure where he was heading but just letting his instincts lead him.

Megara was perched on a branch in a tree was she watched Victor. He was pretty handsome she thought as her eyes flashed from lilac to deep red as she melded with the shadows and slunk down the tree to watch the two. She was pondering why the area smelled like death as she watched him smirking

Victor continued his slow meander through the thick trees when suddenly they fell away and he stood at the entrance of a graveyard. "Ah, of course." Victor spoke to the souls that surrounded him as they quickly disappeared back into the cemetery. He followed them into the depths of the place, looking at the tombstones and listening to the voices of the dead. The story they told was sad but not new. A plague had recently ravaged the area, leaving many new souls that had not yet found rest. "I understand, but please. I don't know how to help you." Victor spoke to the lost souls but could find no way to comfort them. This close to so much recent death was causing him to slowly lose control of his actual form. He looked down at his hands, which flickered between human and skelliton. He closed his eyes in concentration and finally managed to make them remain flesh and blood, but the effort was taxing.

Megara pursed her lips as she peered at him. "The plague they speak of was one that was unleashed due to Orachd's negligence...they see the people of the land of Shadows as nothing but filth had they helped us...not as many would have died" she spoke softly as not to spook him her dress trailing behind her blackened by the shadows. "you should not be in the forest at this time of night even if you are communing with these lost souls it can be dangerous many things here are not in control of their humanity if you wish you can stay with me for the night and come dawn you can continue your journey in the morrow"

Victor turned around in shock at the voice. The woman who stood before him was tall and slender. It was as if she had appeared from the very darkness. He looked at her in surprise. How had she known he communicated with the dead? "Um, hello. I was not expecting to run into anyone at this time in a graveyard." Victor continued to look at the woman, not sure what to make of her while at the same time trying to keep his normal appearance in check. "Thank you for your kind hospitality, but I have nothing to fear from this place. Surely you yourself must be at more risk than I."

Megara snickered then her laughter boomed across the graveyard. As she calmed down and grinned showing her semi longer canines "My dear I am one with the shadows if anything tried to come for me they'd have a hard time getting to me. Please I insist on you coming to visit if nothing else to rest you seem a bit trouble and its nothing a good cup of tea and a good discussion can't fix" she said her eyes flicking to red and back again.

Victor felt himself cringe slightly as the woman's eyes flashed red and her teeth grew to sharp canines. He had to remind himself that he was a child of death and had nothing to fear from this .....woman. All the same, he felt nervous around her. He had never spent much time with the magical residents of the land and now he found himself being invited to tea with one. Rather than potentially anger a force he didn't understand, Victor decided to go with the woman. "Well, thank you for your....kindness. A cup of tea does sound rather nice." Unsure of what kind of proper etiquette he should use, Victor held out an arm to her. Despite being a death child, he still tried to behave as a gentleman.

"Well aren't you a gentleman" she stated taking his arms "Not to worry just call me Megara and thank you for accepting the invitation not to worry I'm the more.....in control type not a vampire not to worry" she said as the reached Megara's hideaway that she used primarily for these purposes.

"Well, Megara, it would hardly be polite of me to turn down your offer." He let her take his arm and lead the way, all the while struggling to keep his human features on. It wasn't easy. "I've actually met a vampire. She was quite kind, a bit sorrowful. But she seemed in control of herself and gave no hint of lack of restraint." Victor was babbling, trying to keep calm while retaining his form. He could feel it starting to slip, could feel the flesh on his chest slowly disappearing and exposing the ribs underneath.

Megara smiles softly "She's one of the lucky ones..you don't have to hide I don't scare that easily my friend and by the way what is your name if I may ask?" she says as she makes the tea before she sets a tea cup in front of Victor.

"My name is Victor. And what could I possibly have to hide?" He looked at her with a meek smile but didn't reach for the cup. His hands were now nothing but bones.

Megara grinned and gesture to his hands "Victor stop trying to fight it its better to left your powers manifest then to try and keep them from so prevents the mind from exploding and cause insanity" she said with a giggle as she sips at tea. "So why were you in the Shadow Cementry?" she ask tenitvely with a an elegant eyebrow cocked.

Victor stared at Megara for a moment. How had she known about his hands? Or that he was hiding his true form? He debated wether or not to show his true form to this dark stranger but eventually gave in. With a sigh of releasing tension, Victor let the flesh slip from his form. Where he sat now was a tall and thin skelliton. He looked up at Megara with empty eye sockets before he finally took the tea. But there was no point in trying to sip it since he had no lips. He just held it in his hand and stared down at the liquid as he spoke in a quiet voice. "Well, you certainly aren't one to be fooled.....I was in the cemetery because the souls lead me there."

Megara smiled at him "See don't you feel better and the souls tend to be rather noisy don't they around here...as a demon I'm sorta used to ignoring their constant whining but I suppose someone unused to it can get suckered in to listen" she said with a laugh.

Victor gave a small frown or as much of one a skelleton can give as he held his tea. "I don't know what you mean by whining. Spirits trapped on this plane of existence suffer in a way no living thing could understand. It should be no surprise then that they are a little um.....noisy as you put it. Besides, they did not trick or badger me into following them. Rather, I seem to draw their presence to me." Victor looked across to where Megara sat with his empty sockets. "But perhaps demons do not fully understand. I must admit, I know very little about your kind."
