Chase sat in the center of the gardens of his humble temple, pondering the upcoming events. The war was brewing faster by the day, and he knew it was only a matter of time before the main war took place. It's starting to get too dangerous to travel outside of my temple, he thought. It is a shame too. Even though I choose neither side, I wouldn't mind stretching my legs and visit the lands without being attacked. He continued to ponder with his great thoughts, knowing soon that something would interrupt him.

Young fire witch had been out and about exploring the world. Through magical eyes, it seemed so much more bigger and better. Much more to see. But in the end war was the only thing that seemed to be in the way. And the truth of facing her brother almost scared her. Rubbing hr hands together she stared around her. "Time to get practicing."

Chase smirked when Kimiko arrived behind him. He didn't turn, but he knew that a conversation would seem logical to keep his mind off the war. "You seem eager to practice your skills, young monk," Chase observed, still not looking at her, but acknowledging her presence, "and yet there is some unsettling tone in your voice."

Kimiko turned around startled by the voice. Her cheeks heated up, though it was more of anger of being caught with the uncertainty in her voice. Clearing her throat, the black haired girl nodded. "It's a long story, i am sure you do not wish to hear it." her voice was a bit hot-tempered. "You probably have better things to do."
She adjusted her pigtails and stared up at the sky.

Chase chuckled. "It's not like I have to fight in the war," he muttered. He then gestured to Kimiko to come and sit with him. "I have more than enough time to listen to a story," Chase replied. "Please."

Arching her eyebrows in confusion, the girl took a seat. "Let's see where to start." she thought. "My brother and i are i guess the term would be bastard children between two rival wizard clans. And now some prophecy is meant to pit us against each other." she rubbed the back of her head. "That's the short version of it anyways."

Chase listened carefully to his student. He had heard of these particular wizard clans before, and he remembered her saying that she was a part of one. But the last part definitely sparked his interest. "A prophecy," Chase repeated. "I haven't heard of any prophecies in a long time. Can you tell me exactly what the prophecy states?"

"It isn't much of one. Other than it says that once the two children turn sixteen, the wizard of weather and the witch of cosmos will fight, to end the war between the clashing clans. Only one will survive." Kimiko replied, her blue eyes casting back to the sky. "It's just another thing our famiiies have to do to decide who's better."

Chase thought through the prophecy. It's definitely has it's own form of doom around it, he thought. It's a shame when two clans have to fight...interesting how that co-exists with the current war. Fate always brings in a wicked sense of humor... "Interesting," Chase spoke aloud. "I might as well ask how you feel about this." It will definitely help me get a grasp of where to start your training, he thought as he listened intensely once more.

"I think its a dumb way for adults to decide who is better. Every clan has its strengths. That doesn't mean that we have to constantly be at war with each other." she muttered. "Lucky me and my brother just happened to be the new catalysts for this war that they were constantly wanting." she rolled her blue eyes. "I don't plan on loosing though. we have never gotten along anyways."

Chase shook his head in disappointment at the thought of these tribes. Why is violence always the answer these days? Can't we all just get along? But what he was not disappointed about was Kimiko's thoughts on the subject. "Well, it looks like you have a journey to travel in your training," Case observed. "You will no doubt have to work on both your physicality and your durability. But the main thing you will have to strengthen is your mentality and your will. Now, I do admire where your mind currently is, but if you want to prove that this prophecy of yours is, as you say, 'dumb', you must be able to muster enough will power and brain power to overcome this pointless prophecy you are a part of."
