"Oh, isn't this just lovely?" muttered the Russian accented voice of a young young woman. Her tone was annoyed, tired, and (in you listened hard enough) panic was beginning to set in. Anastasia St. North sighed, looking around for any sign of anyone she knew from the battlefield.
"Dad?" she called. She forced her tone to remain normal. She wanted her dad more than anything at that moment.
Only silence and the sound of the forest greeted her call. "Dad?" she called again, knowing it was futile but trying again, nonetheless. She as if she might cry, but forced herself to keep it together. She was a St. North after all! She was the daughter of the ex-bandit king! She let out a long breath and sat down on a fallen log to try to make herself think of a plan as to how she could possibly get home.
((I hope this is okay. I've never RP'd on a forum before (actively at least)))

((...wow...that's actually one of the best RP posts I've ever seen! BLESS THIS POST!!!)) -- The Genie sadly walked onto the battlefield. He had been sent to meet up with Orachd's forces, but now it seemed like he would be searching for survivors. All these poor beings, he thought. No longer here. No longer alive. No longer happy... His sadness stopped when he saw the red-headed girl in the distance. Quickly, he began running to her. "Hey," he shouted at her, trying to approach her friendly, "are you alright?"

((D'aww shucks :3))
Anya jumped a bit when she heard a voice cut through the quiet battle-ridden forest. The voice sounded friendly, but her father had taught her not to trust anyone until they gave her a reason to, especially after her mother's death. Anya looked up to face the blue owner of the voice. A Genie, she thought, and a glimmer of hope went through her...a glimmer that was quickly snuffed out when she noticed he was a freed Genie, and her heart sank again. "Yes, I'm completely fine considering the fact that all my friends and possibly my father are dead by now." she responded, fire in her words. She normally wasn't quite this rude, but she was in no mood to conjure up any of the politeness her mother had taught her.

The Genie stopped close enough so that he didn't have to shout across a field, but he took a step back from the comment and became blue in spirit. "Sorry," he apologized sincerely. Even though he didn't have anything to do with this, he still felt bad for the girl. "I only meant to ask about your physical condition. Were you a part of this...this?" he asked, gesturing to the horrible event that had occurred around them.

Anya sighed. "Yes, I was a part of it. Not on this end, though. I got transported away from the battle I was originally fighting and...poof...I found myself here." she chewed at her lip. "Don't suppose you could get me home...or tell me if my dad's alive, could ye?" Anya was pretty sure she knew the answer to both questions, but it didn't hurt to ask.

The Genie looked around the battlefield, trying to figure out a way to answer positively, before responding in a not-so-positive way. "I do not know if your father survived," he said sadly, trying to smile but failing each time, "but I can bring you home. I mean, the only thing I can do now is search for surviors and bring them back..." Genie looked away from Anya. He was always giving happy news or happy jokes or happy anything when he spoke to people. He never liked to give the bad news. Heck, he never delivered bad news much. It just unsettled him so much.

Anya's eyes lit up. "You can?!" she asked joyfully. Her battle-worn and sad face had suddenly seemed to de-age to a small child; full of hope and eager to leave. Her smile fell, however. "But....but what if he's dead?"

Genie was surprised by her reaction and smiled just as quickly as she did. But, of course, he frowned as quickly as she did too. "Well, I really can't say anything about your father yet," Genie stated. "I mean, I haven't gotten a good look around yet. Say, who are you and who's your father?" It was killing him how he couldn't remember who she was. She really did look familiar...

"My dad is Nicholas St. North. I'm Anastasia St. North." replied Anya, tugging at the edge of her tattered tunic. She sighed sadly, looking at the Genie with something of a puppy face, her turquoise eyes brimming with tears, "Is...is my daddy okay?"

The Genie suddenly gasped at the realization, stared at her for a moment, and then hit his head with his palm. She's a St. North, he thought with dumbfounded surprise. A ST. NORTH. How on Orachd did I not get that? "Well," Genie began, now regaining his composure, "seeing how he's Nicholas St. North, I wouldn't be surprised if he survived. I don't see how anything on this world or others could kill a guy like him." He then put his hand on her shoulder reassuringly. "I'm more than positive that he got out of this alive."

"I...I know," said Anya, "but what if he didn't? He is all I have." she fiddled with the tattered edge of her tunic again. Suddenly, a realization hit her, "What if he thinks I am dead? That black magic should have killed me!"

"Black Magic?" Genie questioned. He put his hand on his chin to think about it. "Wow...that should have killed you. Well, in that case, maybe someone killed whoever performed that Black Magic before it could kill you and the side effect of the incomplete spell was teleportation. That makes sense, right?" I feel like that's the only reason I have, he thought.

Anya rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "Yeah, I suppose that would be plausible." she said, shrugging slightly. Or it could be the combination of witch and Guardian genetics, but who really cares?

Genie smiled for a second before looking serious again. How did she survive that... He suddenly saw her ragged clothes. And how did I NOT see those and not fix them yet? "Would you like me to fix up your clothes?" he asked. "I know it's random, but I just can't help myself when it comes to helping somehow."
