Once Poca had healed the wound in his side, Jim ran his hand over it, making sure that no internal damage was left over. Once he was sure he was completely healed he went over to where Poca was working on Kida. Jim knew he should just leave while he had the chance. Poca seemed to be pretty observant and it would only be a matter of time before she realized who had attacked Kida. But he felt he couldn't leave, not until he was certain that Kida was healed. He looked at Poca's glowing hands as she ran them along Kida's sides. He looked up into her face then, wanting to say something.
"I'm sorry, Kida."
Jim was not the type of person to apologize to anyone but he felt he had to say it to Kida.

The one thing she hated the most. Getting healed with a broken bone, that hurt like a bitch and Poca was always to gentle. Clinching her teeth together she shut her eyes breathing threw the pain as Poca healed her. Her ribs slowly pulling back and snapping together in place. Her lungs healing back up. Kiara opened one eye to see the look on Jim's face. He looked.. Sad. Then again he was the one who crushed her but kida didn't point fingers. She could have told her sister the truth but chose not to. As he said he was sorry all Kida could do was smile slightly.

Pocahontas looked at Jim and her sister, wondering how she should feel about the glance they exchanged. She just shrugged it off and went back to her work. It took a little longer than usual, but she soon managed to heal Kida until she was back to normal. "Alright, that should do it," she said, the glow from her palms finally disappearing. "Just take it easy for a little while, okay? I don't want you to go galloping off and then coming back with a broken arm or something."

Jim gave a small smile when Poca said that Kida would be perfectly fine.
"I'm glad you found us. Your healing skills really helped us out."
Jim paused a moment as he looked at the two sisters before rubbing the back of his head.
"Well, now that Kida's ok and you're here with her, there's really no reason for me to stick around."

"Thanks sis." Kida mumbled. She soon raised an eyebrow at him who was smiling "Hey who gave you the rights to smile at a time like this?" teased the girl soon grinned at the boy. No, doubt poca might be thinking something else but at the moment the teen could care less. Her eyes soon widen as he talked about leaving "Oh..'m.. I mean alright. Catch you later?"

Pocahontas just shrugged. She still felt indifferent towards Jim, even though she figured he probably at least tried to help her when she was attacked. "No problem. Looking out for my sister is what I'm here for." She glanced back at Kida. She still didn't know whether her sister was made at her or not because of their earlier argument or not, but she hoped coming here to help her helped put a truce between them. "I guess we should start heading home too," she said.

From the tone of her voice, Jim could tell Kida didn't really want him to leave yet. All the same, he knew the longer he was with them, the more Poca might question what had really happened. Still, he didn't want to leave Kida thinking she couldn't see him again.
"Look, Kida, if you want to see me again sometime, I'll be here in the woods."
He went over to one of the tallest trees in the area and cut a mark into the bark, enough to be seen clearly but to not hurt the tree.
"Just leave a mark under mine and I'll come back to see you."

Kida watched as Jim left a mark into the bark "Yeah, alright, sounds like a plan." she said nodding her head. Kind of, odd, right? Meeting in the same place they tried killing each other? Soon enough, Kida stood up on her feet sighing at her sisters question "Race you back to the village?" she grinned at her sister

Even though Pocahontas was still a little suspicious of Jim, at least he and Kida seemed to be on good terms, maybe even friends, and Pocahontas considered that a good thing. Maybe having a friend or two could help Kida be a little happier, and keep her out of trouble. She gave Kida a look when she suggested racing. "We may have to save racing for another day," she said. "I may have healed your wounds, but I still want you to take it easy and not strain any muscles too much."

Jim looked at Kida and Poca a bit longingly. What he wouldn't have given to have a sibling that cared like that. All he had was a half-sister who hated him more than she loved him and a cousin who didn't bother trying to understand. Jim gave a sigh before putting his hands in his pockets and started to walk away. If Kida wanted to see him again, she'd let him know. For now, he would just try to find some food and get some rest.
