Things that go bumb into the night

After helping out Kayley and Esmeralda get to the edge of the countryside, Jim had returned to the forest and been there ever since. He had thought about going back to the Land of Shadows, but when he thought of having to deal with his "family" he decided to put it off for the time being. Besides, he could take care of himself quite well in the forest. He was currently in his dragon form and was stealthily moving through the forest, hunting. He needed some fresh meat to sate his dragon appitite and the forest was full of game for the taking. He had just been in the process of stalking a small deer, seperated from its herd. He watched it with glowing red eyes as the darkness descended in the woods and the deer bent its head to drink from a small creek. However, just as he was about to lunge, a crashing came from a thicket and a stone rolled into the area. The deer immediately took flight and disappeared into the foliage.
"SHIT" Jim said to himself as his meal made its get away. With a glower, he hid himself in the shadows of the woods and watched a young woman with white hair and dark skin appear.
why is it i'm always interrupted by a girl when i'm in the middle of something?

Jim watched the girl rise from her seat and approach where he was hidden. He had thought he was concealed in the woods, but he was quickly proven wrong when the woman turned towards his location and spoke to him. He stared back at her in slight shock at the reaction she gave. Instead of trying to kill him upon seeing he was a dragon, the girl spoke to him as if he were a person. However, Jim didn't trust her. He took at step away from the shadows but flashed his claws and teeth, making it clear he was armed and ready to attack at any provocation.
"Thanks, but I would have had it if you hadn't been making so much noise." Jim said in a sarcastic and defensive voice.

Jim could feel his temper flaring up at the girl and how arrogant she was. It reminded him too much of Natasha and Astrid, too much of the very people he was trying to avoid. He felt steam begin to roll out of his nose and the corners of his mouth as he tried to calm down. This girl had no idea she was playing with fire. It didn't help that he was hungry either. As soon as the girl began to walk towards him, Jim leaned forward in a defensive position, a growl echoing in his chest. He wasn't about to give ground to this stuck-up human.
"I suggest you keep your distance if you like having your skin on."

But Jim wasn't about to cool down just because she was being polite now. His temper was in full swing. His tail lashed about around the ground and he could feel the heat of flames building up in the back of his throat.
"No..........it's not ok."
Jim said in a voice that quivered with anger. He quickly kicked the bag back at the girl, causing the contents to spill out on the ground.
"You disrespect me and then expect to make up for it with food? What, did you think i was some trained dog?!"
Jim suddenly turned his back on the girl and began to storm off.
"You can take your "kindness" and shove it!"

Jim felt his arms shaking at the stupid, small-minded girl's comments. However, he continued to stalk away until he heard something whistling through the air towards him. Quick as a flash, he turned and caught the object in his hand. It was a stone. The idiot had actually thrown a stone at him!
"Big mistake, girl!" Jim snarled as he crushed the stone in his hand. He quickly turned towards a tree and easily ripped a large branch off. He then threw it will all his strength at the girl, jagged end forward, not stopping to think what he was doing.

As soon as the branch had left his hand, Jim felt terrible. What if he killed the girl in anger? But it quickly became clear that the girl was skilled in combat. She easily dodged the branch before taking several leaps around the trees and somehow ending up on Jim's back. He had seen the blade of her knife and waited to feel the sting of it in his back, but instead he felt the girl jab him with her knee and elbow. Thankfully, dragons were thick-skinned, so it didn't send him falling to the ground, but he let out a loud roar of pain at the jabs. He immediately threw himself with his back towards a tree and slammed into it, determined to get the girl off his back as his temper broke and rage consumed him.

Jim pushed his back as hard as he could against the tree, thinking to crush the girl against it. But she wasn't about to give up without a fight. She began to punch him in the back, neck, face, but each punch was softened by his scales and only added enough pain to make him angrier and push harder against the tree. Suddenly, the girl used her blade and stabbed him in the side. Jim roared out as it pierced his skin and bit into his side, causing blood to flow. Thankfully, it had glanced off and missed his organs. Striking fast, Jim grabbed at the girl's arm and sank his claws into her before throwing her off his back and across the clearing. Once she was off his back, Jim pressed a hand to the wound in his side and tried to assess the damage. Upon looking at the blood on his hand, he snarled and charged towards the girl.
